JUNE 13, 2025 — The mother of a missing Oklahoma teen shares her daughter was found deceased.
London Valdez went missing June 5, and was last seen in Liberal, Kan. This morning, the 16-year-old’s mom, Brittany Valdez, shared the heart wrenching news.
“Dear family and friends, I am heartbroken to announce that London has been located and has gone to be with the Lord,” Brittany writes on Facebook. “I am grateful for the prayers, support, love, and assistance Oklahoma and Kansas provided my daughter London, me, and my family.
I kindly request that you allow my family and me time to mourn before inquiring about the circumstances. We are currently overcome with grief.”
The Beaver County Sheriff’s Office, in Oklahoma, shared a body of a person was recovered in an area southwest of Forgan, Okla., The Oklahoma State Burau of Investigation was asked to help with the case, as well as the Oklahoma State Medical Examiner’s Office and the District 1 District Attorney’s Office, Beaver County shares in a media release.
The person’s identity nor cause of death have been revealed. “I would like to assure the public that, at no time, was there or is there any threat to the safety of our citizens and communities,” Sheriff S. Scott Mitchell states.

HERE’S A TIMELINE OF EVENTS:
- She went missing last Thursday, June 5, from Hooker, Okla.
- However, she was last seen around 4 p.m. that day in Liberal, Kan.
- Her last communication with family and friends is at 9:40 a.m. on Saturday, June. 7. It’s unusual for her to not be in contact with family.
A close family friend tells me that London, 16, was with two men at the time, but their vehicle was found abandoned in Fort Supply, Okla. The men she was with were located, but London remains missing.
London is known to frequent Liberal, Kan., and Guymon, Okla.
She does not have clothing, makeup or a phone charger.
